Anyone have a better idea instead of a can of tomato soup? Tomato juice along with can of tomato sauce? Any ideas I would love to hear. Thanks!

Ingredients


  •     1 pound (480 g) Italian sausages,sliced
  •     4 cups (1 L) chicken broth
  •     28 oz (840 ml) can diced tomatoes
  •     2 cans 10¾ oz (325 ml) each tomato soup
  •     2 8 oz (240 ml) each containers softened chive and creame cheese spread
  •     18 oz (540 g) package uncooked cheese tortellini

Method

  1. Step 1

    Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add sausages and cook until browned and no longer pink. Transfer browned sausages to a slow cooker.
  2. Step 2

    Add the chicken broth, diced tomatoes, and tomato soup. Close the pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  3. Step 3

    Stir in softened cream cheese and uncooked tortellini. Cover and cook on high for 15-30 minutes or until tortellini is cooked through.
